A Trial Attorney Built in Colorado
Daniel H. Kyser is a Colorado native whose career has been defined by a single principle: stand up to those who abuse their authority. After earning his Bachelor's degree from Colorado State University in 2003 and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2007, Daniel began practicing at criminal defense firms throughout the Denver metro area before founding the Law Office of Daniel H. Kyser, LLC in 2009.
In the years since, Daniel has personally represented clients in thousands of criminal matters, from first-appearance arraignments to multi-week jury trials, from DMV express-consent hearings to oral argument before the Colorado Supreme Court. He has published appellate opinions shaping Colorado criminal law and has successfully prosecuted both First- and Fourth-Amendment civil rights cases against local police departments.
Courtroom Philosophy
Daniel believes that a criminal defense attorney's highest duty is preparation. Prosecutors and judges quickly learn which lawyers cut corners and which ones show up ready to fight. Daniel shows up ready. Every case, regardless of charge, is prepared as if it will go to trial — which is why many cases never have to.
